Remote Position: This opportunity is available for candidates residing in PA, DE, FL, LA, MD, NJ, OH, TX, and VA.

Starting Salary: $145,000

Position Details:

This senior leadership role (Director Level reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Operations) is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and optimization of strategic initiatives related to the revenue cycle and new business initiatives within Merakey. The role ensures services are efficiently integrated into the organization’s financial processes, driving operational excellence, improving financial performance, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field; or 15–20 years of revenue cycle management experience in lieu of degree.
  • At least 7–10 years of healthcare revenue cycle management experience, focusing on behavioral health services and commercial insurance billing.
  • Proven skills in strategic planning, process optimization, and leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of behavioral health billing, coding, reimbursement, and regulations (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial insurance).
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data and making recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large projects.
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and EHRs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Revenue cycle management certification (e.g., CRCE).
  • Knowledge of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
  • Experience with physical health billing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health-specific revenue cycle software and tools.
  • Payer relations and contract negotiation experience.
  • Understanding of value-based care models in behavioral health.
