Remote Position: This opportunity is available for candidates residing in PA, DE, FL, LA, MD, NJ, OH, TX, and VA.

Starting Salary: $145,000

Position Details:

This senior leadership role (Director Level reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Operations) is responsible for overseeing strategic initiatives related to the revenue cycle and new business development within Merakey. The role ensures efficient integration of services into financial processes, drives operational excellence, improves financial performance, and maintains compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field, or 15–20 years of revenue cycle management experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 7–10 years of healthcare revenue cycle management experience, focusing on behavioral health services and commercial insurance billing.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, process optimization, and leadership.
  • Deep knowledge of behavioral health billing, coding, reimbursement, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial insurance).
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and make recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large projects.
  • Familiarity with healthcare information systems and EHR systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification such as CRCE.
  • Knowledge of EDI concepts and processes.
  • Experience with physical health billing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health-specific revenue cycle software and tools.
  • Experience in payer relations and contract negotiations.
  • Understanding of value-based care models applicable to behavioral health services.
