Job summary

Moody's Analytics is seeking a skilled professional to lead the enhancement and maintenance of quantitative modeling solutions for the asset management sector, leveraging proprietary data to deliver robust risk insights.

You will collaborate with research teams, write research and thought leadership, and support sales and client success with subject-matter expertise; occasional US travel and in-person work at the New York office are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding and track record of developing quantitative models for financial/credit risk, including design, calibration, performance assessment and implementation.
• Excellent writing skills in English, with a demonstrable body of written content.
• Superior verbal communication skills, able to present to audiences of varying technical understanding and seniority.
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects and collaborate with stakeholders across internal business lines.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to accelerate quantitative projects; openness to adopting new tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages and/or analytical applications (Python, R).
• Experience in credit risk/asset management/structured finance/credit-rating methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Lead the enhancement and maintenance of quantitative modeling solutions and develop new solutions for the asset management sector.
• Collaborate with research teams to develop new solutions, write/co-author research, and advance strategic priorities.
• Leverage Moody's proprietary data to develop models and solutions for asset management.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams, provide SME, deliver PoCs, develop collateral, and support internal knowledge sharing; travel may be necessary.
• Publish written content on timely market themes to demonstrate Moody's Analytics' insights.
• Work with the Managing Director, Research and Innovation in Asset Management, and coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Communications; in-person presence at NYC office at least weekly.
