Moody's Analytics is seeking a Director of Analytics & Modeling in New York to lead the enhancement of quantitative models for credit risk and asset management, collaborating with research teams to develop new solutions and publish insights.

The role demands expert Python/R skills, strong data storytelling, and the ability to present to audiences of varying seniority; domestic travel and in-person work at 7 World Trade Center are expected. Candidates with advanced degrees prioritized.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in quantitative risk modeling across financial/credit contexts.
• Excellent writing and storytelling with data.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for senior audiences.
• Willingness to travel domestically to meet clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead enhancement and maintenance of existing quantitative modeling solutions.
• Collaborate with research teams to develop new solutions and publish research.
• Support client meetings and proof-of-concept projects with asset management sales.
• Publish thought leadership content on market themes.
• Work under Managing Director, Research and Innovation, with dotted-line to Head of Strategy; collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Communications.
• Must be able to work in person at Moody’s 7 World Trade Center offices at least once a week.
