Job summary

AeroGuard Flight Training Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Director of Quality and Compliance to lead our Quality Management System and regulatory compliance efforts. The role emphasizes documenting processes, auditing, and cross‑department collaboration to strengthen safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of QMS/Compliance experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience working with-in Quality Management and/or Compliance Monitoring systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Conscientious and responsible

Responsibilities

• Ensure all company processes are documented and updated in the Quality Management System
• Develop and implement quality metrics to measure the performance of the Quality Management System
• Manages and updates the Quality Management System Manual
• Manages and updates the Compliance Monitoring Manual
• Demonstrates excellent internal and external communication skills
• Creates and implements audit criteria to ensure adherence to company procedures
• Administers the company’s corrective and preventative action program
• Ensures all new employees are trained in their relative QMS responsibilities
• Review company procedures for possible ways to improve efficiency
• Assists in external audits involving US and International regulatory bodies
• Assists other departments with document updates
• Supports and participates in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to comply with ISO 9001:2015 requirements by adhering to processes and procedures

1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position requires a solid understanding of our customers’ needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure all company processes are documented and updated in the Quality Management System
• Develop and implement quality metrics to measure the performance of the Quality Management System
• Manages and updates the Quality Management System Manual
• Manages and updates the Compliance Monitoring Manual
• Demonstrates excellent internal and external communication skills
• Creates and implements audit criteria to ensure adherence to company procedures

2.0 REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Proven experience as a QMS Manager
• Proven experience as a Compliance Manager preferred
• Conscientious and responsible
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to identify problems or potential problems and develop and implement solutions
• A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills

2.1 EDUCATION

• Education Preferred: High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred

2.2 EXPERIENCE

• 3 years’ experience working with-in Quality Management and/or Compliance Monitoring systems.

2.3 Knowledge

• Proficient in MS Office Suite

3.0 PHYSICAL AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• You must be able to sit and or stand for long periods at a time
