About The Director Of Purchasing Position

We’re looking for a new Director of Purchasing to help guide the operations of the purchasing and receiving departments.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Researching price, service and quality of operation requirements and recommending the best option to maximize pricing and quality in keeping with the Hotel’s standards
• Documenting all purchases through the Hotel Purchase Order System and liaising with department managers and suppliers regarding deliveries
• Reviewing and approving period end purchasing management reports
• Directing period end inventories to determine costs
• Managing the receiving department for timely arrivals and distribution of products
  
  

What We Need From You

• Undergraduate degree in business or hospitality
• Two years hotel departmental management experience
• Candidate must have proficiency in English, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work well with others and have proven successful rapport with suppliers & guests

The salary range for this role is $85,000.00 to $100,000.00. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. This rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Washington, DC. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
