Job summary

Ramsey County is seeking a Director to lead the Property Management division, overseeing capital project planning, construction management, and cost estimates. You will manage procurement of professional engineering services, develop policies, and partner with the County Board on budgets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering/related field and at least six years of capital project experience, including two years supervising staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, facilities management or a related field.
• Six years of progressively responsible experience in capital project planning, construction management, procurement and contracting, project/facilities management or engineering, with at least two years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct planning and project management activities, including capital improvement programs and policy development.
• Manage capital project finances, budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting for major projects.
• Lead the RFP process, negotiate contracts with architects/engineers/contractors, and oversee consultants.
• Direct department policies, performance indicators, and management of personnel matters with HR.
• Coordinate long-range capital project planning with County-wide departments and rate processes.
