This fast-growing platform develops, owns, and operates distributed generation assets that bring renewable power to under-served markets. With a proven track record nationwide and a robust project pipeline, the company is positioned for significant growth and long-term impact.

The Role

We are seeking a Director of Development to lead the full lifecycle of community solar project development. This is a senior, strategic role responsible for advancing projects from origination through notice to proceed (NTP). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in community solar regulations, permitting, and stakeholder engagement, along with a strong track record of driving cross-functional progress in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of community solar project development, from site selection through interconnection, permitting, and NTP
• Manage internal and external resources across engineering, interconnection, policy, legal, and community engagement
• Oversee local permitting processes and maintain strong relationships with AHJs, utilities, and community stakeholders
• Drive project strategy and timelines to meet portfolio goals and regulatory deadlines
• Collaborate with executive leadership to inform market expansion strategy and policy engagement
• Maintain a deep understanding of community solar programs, utility structures, and evolving regulatory frameworks in key markets
• Contribute to team building and process optimization as the company scales
