Job Title: Director of Production Operations

Location: East Hanover, NJ

Duration: Permanent, Direct Hire

Salary Range: $140-150,000 (or higher/negotiable based on experience)

Summary:

The Director of Production is responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring that meeting and events are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, extensive production knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement process and strategies aligned with needs of the clients

• Oversee the production process, from scheduling, and planning to execution.

• Ensure that production meets quality standards and adheres to timelines.

• Manage and mentor the production team, provide guidance and support, hold the team accountable for executing according to standards.

• Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures.

• Quality data assurance – Ensure the data entered by the production team is accurate and provide detailed reporting/metrics.

• Collaborate with other departments such as Real Estate and Facilities, Conference Service Lines, Catering, Communication Teams, External Agencies, and Event Planners.

• Identify and resolve production issues promptly.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Maintain production schedules and adjust as needed to meet demand.

• Report on production performance and recommend improvements

• Ensure budget reconciliation and client chargebacks get tracked appropriately post-event

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in production management, engineering, or related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a production management role.

• Proven track record of managing production processes and teams.

• Strong understanding of production technologies and methodologies.

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Superior problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
