Job description

As the Lead Architect and Director of Product Security Architecture for Dematic, you will be critical to advancing security throughout the company, enabling business success and growth in an environment demanding comprehensive and robust product security. Reporting to the Vice President of Global Product Security, you will provide strategic and technical security leadership across product development, sales, and support organizations.

Your responsibilities include defining a broad technical security strategy for all Dematic products, including next-generation software, existing solutions, and operational technology. You will ensure the development of secure products and their operation within a secure environment by providing architectural guidance and vision. Collaboration with senior leadership and engineering teams will be essential to define and implement the security vision and strategy.

You will inspire and support teams to enhance their security knowledge and practices, proactively defending systems and data from attacks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. As a key member of a collaborative organization, you will continually grow your technical expertise to protect the organization, customers, and communities.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $X-Y. Final compensation will depend on various factors such as location, education, experience, and skills.

• Define security strategies for all products, including software and operational technology.

• Advance technical and operational capabilities for robust security.
• Guide security integration throughout product development.
• Perform security risk assessments of products and systems.
• Educate teams on security best practices and automation.
• Build collaborative relationships across teams.
• Mentor security engineers and champions globally.
• Respond to security incidents with guidance.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological developments.
• Research and present on security topics.
• Work with product teams to ensure security resilience.
• Engage with stakeholders to support business development from a security perspective.

What We Are Looking For:

• Expertise in backend and frontend development across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Deep knowledge of application and cloud security principles and practices.
• Threat modeling expertise.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure security models.
• Proficiency in cloud services, identity and access management, containerization, and cryptography.
• Proficiency with security tools such as Burp Suite, Kali Linux, etc.
• Strong decision-making skills in risk mitigation.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
