We’re seeking a Director of Product Management, Hardware to help define the future of WHOOP hardware. This leader will set the portfolio vision and strategy, lead a talented team of Product Managers, and bring together member needs, emerging technologies, and exceptional design to create products that advance our mission.

Sitting at the intersection of science, engineering, design, and human behavior, this role will translate bold ideas into clear product direction and guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through launch. You will partner closely across Hardware, Software, Design, and Operations, while serving as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on member value, technical opportunity, business impact, and execution risk.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Define and champion a compelling vision, strategy, and roadmap for the future of WHOOP hardware.
  • Lead and inspire a high-performing Hardware Product Management team with clear ownership, strong judgment, and ambitious standards.
  • Shape how hardware unlocks WHOOP’s broader sensing, software, data, algorithm, and coaching experiences.
  • Identify and advocate for foundational product and architecture investments that expand what WHOOP can deliver for members over time.
  • Translate member needs, business priorities, and emerging technologies into differentiated products and clear investment decisions.
  • Own product definition and outcomes from early discovery through launch and lifecycle, aligning teams around member value, technical tradeoffs, execution, and business performance.
  • Partner across Engineering, Design, and Operations to turn bold ideas into exceptional products and strengthen how WHOOP builds hardware.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 6+ years of product management experience, including leadership experience in consumer hardware, connected devices, or wearable technology.
  • Proven track record of defining and launching complex hardware products from early concept through production and lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated success building, leading, and developing high-performing Product Management teams.
  • Strong technical fluency across hardware architecture, sensors, embedded systems, mechanical and electrical engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Exceptional product judgment, with the ability to balance immediate member value with long-term platform, sensing, and technology investments.
  • Ability to shape portfolio strategy and make thoughtful tradeoffs across member experience, performance, quality, cost, schedule, and business impact.
  • Compelling communicator who can inspire teams, create clarity in complex environments, and influence senior leaders. This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
