Job summary

Investigo represents a leading U.S. autonomous technology company seeking a Director of Product Compliance in the Bay Area to build and own the product compliance operating system, establish policy, risk frameworks, and governance across a growing portfolio of hardware and software products.

The Director will own strategy, lead a team of compliance engineers, partner with Hardware, Engineering, Product, Security, Legal and Regulatory teams, and translate evolving requirements into executable

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product compliance, certification, or regulatory engineering experience.
• Experience with UAS/FAA/EASA frameworks, federal requirements, regulatory advocacy, or standards bodies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own product compliance strategy and launch-readiness sign-off.
• Lead and develop a team of portfolio compliance engineers.
• Partner with Hardware, Engineering, Product, Security, Supply Chain, Legal, Government, and Regulatory teams.
• Translate evolving or ambiguous requirements into executable compliance strategies.
• Direct internal and external SMEs across EMC, radio, product safety, cellular/PTCRB/MNO, batteries, aviation, cybersecurity, export controls, and supply-chain compliance.
• Help the organization anticipate and shape regulatory requirements rather than simply react to them.

Representing a leading U.S. autonomous technology company on a confidential search for a Director of Product Compliance in the Bay Area. This is not a maintenance role. We’re looking for a leader to build and own the company-wide product compliance operating system, establishing policy, risk frameworks, certification requirements, governance, and launch gates across a growing portfolio of sophisticated hardware and software products.

The Director will:

• Own product compliance strategy and launch-readiness sign-off
• Lead and develop a team of portfolio compliance engineers
• Partner closely with Hardware, Engineering, Product, Security, Supply Chain, Legal, Government, and Regulatory teams
• Translate evolving or ambiguous requirements into executable compliance strategies
• Direct internal and external SMEs across EMC, radio, product safety, cellular/PTCRB/MNO, batteries, aviation, cybersecurity, export controls, and supply-chain compliance
• Help the organization anticipate and shape regulatory requirements rather than simply react to them

We’re especially interested in leaders with 10+ years of product compliance, certification, or regulatory engineering experience, strong technical credibility, and a track record of building governance and processes from the ground up. Experience with UAS/FAA/EASA frameworks, federal requirements, regulatory advocacy, or standards bodies is a plus.
