The Gatesworth is seeking a Director of Procurement to build and lead a cross-functional procurement function for five luxury senior living communities in St. Louis, MO.

This on-site role reports directly to the CFO and offers authority to select vendors, set standards, and realize measurable savings across multiple sites. You will consolidate spend, negotiate contracts, and implement processes to standardize lists, par levels, and reporting while ensuring vendor compliance and data-driven

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience across multiple categories.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to earn buy-in and lead through influence across multiple sites.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality is strongly preferred.
• Contract review and negotiation experience.

• Lead purchasing for food, medical and resident care, housekeeping and linen, maintenance, and capital equipment.
• Source, onboard, and evaluate vendors on cost, quality, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts and maintain a central contract database and renewal calendar.
• Standardize product lists, ordering, and par levels to cut waste and off-contract spend.
• Evaluate GPO programs and procurement technology.
• Report savings, spend under contract, and vendor performance to leadership.
• Ensure vendor compliance including insurance certificates, W-9s, and exclusion screening.

Build and lead procurement for five distinct luxury communities. Report directly to the CFO in a newly created role with the authority to set standards, choose vendors, and deliver measurable savings. The Gatesworth Communities is a locally owned, award-winning senior living organization in St. Louis. On-site, full-time.

Your communities: The Gatesworth, Parc Provence, McKnight Place Assisted Living and Memory Care, McKnight Place Extended Care, and Avenir Luxury Apartments.

What You'll Do

• Baseline annual spend across all communities and prioritize high-impact sourcing
• Lead purchasing for food, medical and resident care, housekeeping and linen, maintenance, capital equipment, and purchased services
• Source, onboard, and evaluate vendors on cost, quality, and reliability
• Negotiate contracts and build a central contract database and renewal calendar
• Standardize product lists, ordering, and par levels to cut waste and off-contract spend
• Evaluate GPO programs and procurement technology
• Report savings, spend under contract, and vendor performance to leadership

What You Bring

• 5+ years of progressive procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience, including multi-category sourcing
• Senior living, healthcare, or hospitality experience strongly preferred
• Proven track record building or rebuilding a procurement function and delivering savings
• Contract review and negotiation experience
• Advanced Excel and spend analysis skills; GPO and purchasing system experience a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to earn buy-in and lead through influence across multiple sites
