Job description

Position Overview

This position provides oversight for the college's health sciences programs and oversees the PN program. The position reports to the Dean of Transfer and Health Sciences. The primary responsibilities include the development, implementation, and growth of curricula and programs within the division, including networking and partnering regionally. The role involves providing administrative and academic leadership, ensuring the continuity of the division's instructional mission, coordinating scheduling, and overseeing program assessment and improvement processes. Additional duties include managing the health sciences budget, evaluating faculty, supporting professional development, maintaining licensure, participating in college service, and teaching classes or leading projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Active, unencumbered license or multi-state licensure privilege to practice as a registered nurse in NC.
  • Two years of full-time experience as a faculty member in a Board-approved nursing program.
  • Clinical nursing experience and experience as a faculty member in a nursing program.
  • Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in health science, curriculum and instruction, or a related field.
  • Experience as a PN program director.

Note: The successful candidate will be required to be on-campus 2 days per week.
