Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, portfolio management, PMO leadership, or related operational leadership.
• 5 years of people management experience.
• Experience leading enterprise or department-level project intake, prioritization, governance, resource planning, and portfolio reporting.
• Healthcare, academic medicine, research, or other matrixed environments preferred.
• PM certification (PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-ACP, Lean, Six Sigma) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership for the Project and Portfolio Management Office, defining and advancing portfolio governance and standards.
• Directs evaluation, intake, and prioritization of new initiatives with clear business cases and defined scope.
• Oversees PMO methodology, tools, and governance, ensuring consistent practices and adoption.
• Leads portfolio oversight, including capacity planning, dashboard reporting, and risk identification.
• Partners with senior leaders to ensure projects are sequenced appropriately and aligned with strategy.
• Builds PMO capability through coaching, training, and mentorship.
