Job summary

signalandstrand is seeking a Director of Product Management to own the vision, roadmap, and execution for a multi-brand media tech stack across publishing, membership, ticketing, and ads.

You will lead platform strategy, vendor selection, and the creation of clear specs, collaborating with executives and engineering to align goals with business outcomes.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on guidance to unblock integrations and drive platform-level decisions.

Qualifications

• Define and own multi-year technical product vision and roadmap across publishing, membership, ticketing, and advertising tech.
• Write clear specs and business cases to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and executives to drive strategy and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Define and own multi-year technical product vision and roadmap across the company's publishing, membership, ticketing, and advertising technology stack, and translate that vision into a prioritized, resourced execution plan
• Lead the strategy, selection, and optimization of the core platform stack, including CMS/publishing, subscription management, CRM and marketing automation, ad tech, and app publishing
• Own reader and member identity architecture across all brands for a unified view and personalization
• Negotiate and manage vendor relationships and contracts with ticketing and related providers
• Write specs and roadmaps that align technical and business goals for engineers and executives
• Partner with editorial, advertising, membership, and events leaders to surface opportunities
• Establish metrics and reporting linking product decisions to business outcomes
• Create mechanisms to enable a fast-moving team to make solid technical product decisions
