About The Role
Director of Planning and Allocations

Los Angeles, CA Merchandising and Planning / Full-time / On-site

Buck Mason is seeking a passionate and strategic Director of Planning and Allocations. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of inventory health, product performance, and demand forecasting, and will report to the Director of Finance. This role is crucial in building and leading the Planning and Allocations team to support business growth.

Responsibilities:
  1. Own the inventory buy process supporting the merchandise calendar bi-annually, ensuring high sell-through and effective allocation across 50+ distribution points.
  2. Support the merchant team in developing future season line architecture aligned with product strategy and long-term goals.
  3. Assist in creating internal calendars to meet deadlines for Seasonless Core and Seasonal Core products.
  4. Build and maintain demand forecasts to ensure healthy inventory levels year-round.
  5. Manage weekly reports on inventory, sales, and sell-through; provide insights and mitigation plans.
  6. Create sales plans per sales channel and season, helping stakeholders understand sales vs. inventory.
  7. Manage cut log and WIP with production, understanding supply chain complexities to meet delivery dates.
  8. Partner with Merchandising and Product Development to ensure accurate line sheets and future buy plans.
  9. Lead and develop the department and team as the business expands.
Requirements:
  1. BA/BS in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or Merchandising.
  2. 8+ years in Demand Planning, Inventory Management, or Merchandising.
  3. 5+ years of team leadership experience.
  4. Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make decisions.
  5. Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills.
  6. Expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  7. Motivated, resilient under pressure, and committed to departmental growth and change.

The salary range is $160,000 - $190,000 annually, with potential bonuses and perks based on performance.
