Job summary

Houston Astros seek a Director of Pitching Development to lead the minor league pitching philosophy and integrate with ML Pitching development. The role oversees programs from AAA to DSL and collaborates with R&D to enhance pitcher performance.

Ideal candidates have experience coaching pitchers at scale, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with MS Office. Spanish is a plus and a professional/collegiate playing background is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching and developing pitchers at scale.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Professional or collegiate playing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Pitching development programs, plans, strategies, and initiatives from AAA down to the DSL.
• Collaborate with R&D and Performance Science to improve pitcher performance.
• Provide input to Front Office about roster projections and promotions.
• Lead coaches in setting and executing player goal plans and monitor progress.
