Lumicity in San Jose leads the development of next-generation photonics for data centers, AI, and computing. You will lead photodetector development, manage foundry partnerships, and drive wafer testing to enable a smooth transfer into high-volume manufacturing with external partners.

The role requires oversight of testing across photodetetection and high-speed optoelectronics, and experience coordinating with fabrication partners to ensure scalable production.

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline (EE, Physics, Materials Science, etc.)
• Experience managing foundry partnerships and processes
• Experience with characterization techniques (SIMS, XRD, SEM, TEM)
• Ability to oversee testing with a focus on high-speed optoelectronics
• Background working with external high-volume manufacturing partners
• Knowledge of wafer fabrication processes including photolithography, thin-film deposition and etching

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative photonics company operating at the forefront of next-generation optical connectivity for Data Centers, AI and Computing. The Role:

You would be leading the development of next-generation photonics with a focus on new photodetector development, managing foundry partnerships, wafer testing and final test processes to enable the successful transfer of photodetectors into a high-volume manufacturing environment working with fabrication partners.

Skills & Experience:

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (EE, Physics, Materials Science etc.)
• Experience with managing foundry partnerships and processes
• Understanding of characterization techniques including SIMS, XRD, SEM, TEM
• Ability to oversee testing with a focus on high-speed optoelectronics
• Background working with external high-volume manufacturing partners
