Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA, seeks a Director of Pharmacy to provide strategic and operational leadership for the hospital’s Pharmacy program. You will ensure safe, effective, timely, and cost-efficient medication management across the organization, aligning services with goals, regulatory requirements, and patient-care needs.

The role requires a PharmD (or BS with leadership experience) and MA licensure, with at least five years of acute-care pharmacy leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressive acute-care pharmacy leadership experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and regulatory standards.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with medical staff and leadership.
• Effective verbal and written communication of clinical, operational, and regulatory information.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgment in a complex health system.
• Proficiency with pharmacy information systems, automation, and related technology.

Responsabilités

• Provides strategic and operational leadership for all hospital Pharmacy services.
• Plans, directs, and evaluates pharmacy operations in alignment with the organization's priorities.
• Ensures compliance with federal/state laws, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
• Develops and reviews policies, procedures, and standards for procurement, storage, preparation, dispensing, and administration.
• Oversees medication safety initiatives and mitigates medication-related risks.
• Manages controlled-substance inventory, security, and reporting.
• Manages budgets, staffing, and capital planning for Pharmacy.
• Recruits, develops, and evaluates pharmacy leadership and staff.
• Collaborates with clinical and administrative departments to optimize medication-management practices.
• Monitors and reports quality, safety, and performance metrics; implements improvement actions.
