Job summary

Larkin Hoffman seeks a Director of Human Resources to lead the Firm’s HR programs and services across the organization. The Director will manage employee relations, performance management, benefits, policies, and related initiatives while supervising HR and administrative teams.

Collaborating with the COO, leadership, and legal talent, this role builds trusted relationships and provides practical guidance on day-to-day personnel matters and long-term HR strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
• Professional certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or comparable credential preferred.
• Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible HR experience with leadership and supervision of managers.
• Experience leading HR strategy including employee relations, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
• Experience overseeing benefits, leaves, and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Firm’s HR function, including employee relations, performance management, compensation, policy development, compliance, leaves, and benefits.
• Oversee Administrative and Office Services and facilities, ensuring staffing and processes.
• Build trusted relationships with Firm leadership and employees, providing guidance and applying policies consistently.
• Manage employee relations matters with counsel as appropriate.
• Lead performance management, goal setting, reviews, coaching, and development.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, integration, and offboarding for professional roles.
• Supervise HR professionals with coaching and development.
• Partner with the Director of Legal Talent on Firm-wide people initiatives.
• Collaborate on organizational structure, staffing, engagement, retention, and change management.
• Coordinate firm events and internal communications; stay current on employment laws.
