Job Description

CARR Biosystems is seeking a Director of People to strengthen culture and improve business results. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting to the CEO, you will set and deliver the people strategy that supports growth, operational effectiveness, and people‑and‑performance harmony. About You

  • Build an inclusive, high‑trust culture. Run engagement (pulse surveys, listening sessions), turn insights into action, and oversee the CARR Cellebrators team plus company‑wide communication and recognition.
  • Lead leadership development and performance management, coaching leaders through performance and employee relations issues, ensuring fair, compliant practices across locations.
  • Lead workforce planning, succession planning, org design, and talent pipelines—including recruiting and onboarding—to build leadership capacity and retention.
  • Oversee compensation, incentives, and benefits to ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, and legal compliance; adjust programs to support performance and retention.
  • Use metrics and dashboards to guide decisions and measure impact. Manage the People Team budget and lead process improvements to streamline HR work, update policies, and improve the employee experience.
  • Lead continuous improvement of People processes, structures, and tools, including redesigning work for AI collaboration where needed.
Qualifications

  • Strategic, results‑focused leader with strong business judgment and a track record of translating business needs into people plans that improve performance, talent quality, and engagement. Experience influencing senior executives, assessing org structure, and supporting acquisition integrations.
  • Communication & influence: Clear writer and presenter who can coach and challenge leaders with good judgment. Strong relationship‑building skills across levels.
  • People‑centered change leader: High empathy and integrity, able to build an inclusive, high‑trust culture aligned to Truly Human Leadership. Able to lead teams through growth and change (multi‑site/international experience a plus; interest in new tools, including AI, welcomed).
  • HR expertise: Broad HR knowledge across talent, leadership development, and org development. Working knowledge of U.S. multi‑state employment law; global HR compliance exposure is a plus.
  • Analytical & tech‑savvy: Experience tracking HR metrics and using HRIS/analytics tools. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis and storytelling.
