Job description

The Cohen Children’s Northwell Health Pediatric Service Line and Department of Pediatrics at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health is seeking a full-time board eligible/board certified Pediatric Hospitalist to direct the In-Patient Pediatrics Unit and lead the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, the ability to oversee the quality improvement activities of the department, a track record in teaching and supervising residents, and the requisite administrative skills.

  • Responsibilities include patient care, supervision of learners, and QI oversight
  • Participation in clinical research is available
  • Opportunities for collaboration with Cohen Children’s Medical Center to implement best practices, develop clinical policies and procedures, and participate in scholarly activities

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a collaborative team of six Pediatric Hospitalists covering nursery care, inpatient pediatrics, and emergency department consults. This position does not include Labor & Delivery responsibilities.
