Director of Patient Admissions & Intake Operations (Dialysis)

Innovative Renal Care is seeking a forward-thinking leader to build and lead a centralized and standardized national admissions function. This newly created role will be responsible for transforming our current decentralized structure into a cohesive, metric-driven, and technology-enabled process that enhances the referral experience, supports operational efficiency, and ensures timely patient onboarding across all markets.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in dialysis admissions, with a strong background in workflow optimization, systems alignment, and cross-functional team leadership. They will directly oversee the Manager of Admissions and a national team of Regional Admissions Coordinators.

Location: This position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S., with some travel expected for leadership meetings and market visits.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement the roadmap to centralize IRC’s admissions function across all U.S. markets
• Establish and standardize workflows, policies, referral-routing logic, and metrics across regions
• Serve as the primary organizational leader for all things admissions – owning performance, systems, and outcomes
• Directly manage the Manager of Admissions and a national team of Regional Admissions Coordinators
• Evaluate current systems and tools and lead any necessary platform optimization or transitions
• Build real-time dashboards and KPI reporting frameworks that improve visibility and guide decision-making
• Align intake strategy with physician referral patterns while maintaining patient choice and local context
• Partner with Group VPs, Regional VPs, and executive sponsors to drive adoption and continuous improvement
• Act as a strategic voice within the leadership team on patient access, operational readiness, and care transition alignment

Experience & Education

• 5+ years of leadership experience in dialysis admissions
• Proven success building, scaling, or centralizing intake/admissions operations in a multi-state healthcare setting
• Strong operational mindset with systems fluency and change management expertise
• Executive presence with the ability to influence across all organizational levels

While this position is currently titled Director, we welcome applications from candidates with broader executive experience and may consider a VP-level hire for exceptional qualifications.
