This position is part of the Office of the General Secretary of the CRCNA and will work closely with both Canadian and US leadership, as well as senior leaders in all CRCNA agencies and educational institutions, to foster a well-functioning, highly effective organization that serves God's church on both sides of the Canada-US border. PURPOSE
As a member of the Office of General Secretary, the Director of Partnership Administration works collaboratively to guide and orient the ministries of the CRCNA according to the direction provided by the CRCNA ecclesiastical assemblies, especially synod and the Council of Delegates. Partnering with the executive leaders of the Canadian and U.S. ministry boards as well as leaders of the educational institutions and World Renew, the Director of Partnership Administration will advance the work of the CRCNA in areas such as governance and compliance, joint ministry plans, finance, and budgets to create a well-functioning organization that operates on both sides of the Canada-U.S. border.

This position offers a flexible work schedule, an attractive benefits package (including retirement fund contribution), and paid time off.

Compensation: $105,833 /year USD or $106,471/year CAD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  1. Responsible for coordination of synodical decisions to the six agencies and institutions of the CRCNA. Serves as an effective partner with the General Secretary to advance the mission and values of the CRCNA.
  2. Ensures that the mission and values of the CRCNA shape the organizational culture of all agencies and institutions of the CRCNA.
  3. Serves as the connection between COD and the pension boards, loan fund board, and other entities that serve the interest of the churches and ministers.
  4. Carries out board directives and communicates appropriate information to ministry leaders and partners.
  5. Works closely with the leaders of various ethnic groups to ensure a close connection to the denomination's governance and the agencies' work.
  6. Partners in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the CRCNA Ministry Plan as well as the Ministry Shares program and ensures that it is aligned with the decisions of Synod.
  7. Ensures that the joint ministry planning system advances the priorities in the CRCNA Ministry Plan through the relevant ministry agencies and partners in Canada and the United States.
  8. Ensures that the Ministry Leadership Council's culture is based on a cycle of strategic thinking, planning, innovation, and evaluation in developing and implementing joint ministry plans.
  9. Brings administrative and ministry leaders and partners together to ensure consistent implementation of synodical and COD policy decisions in Canada and the United States.
  10. Oversees the budget of the Office of General Secretary, ensuring it achieves budget metrics and outcomes.
  11. Oversees the joint ministry agreement process, including governance, ecumenical, administrative, and ministry agreements.
  12. Coordinates the work and policies related to crisis management and physical risk for travelers, volunteers, and staff, emphasizing international staff and travelers.
  13. Responsible for publishing aspects of The Banner and ensuring it is financially self-sustaining.
  14. In partnership with the executive leaders of the ministry boards, manages the ministry share revenue stream.
  15. Participates in ecumenical, classical, and regional church meetings as needed.
  16. Functions as the denominational representative regarding legal matters as needed.
  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE:
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Professing membership in a Christian Reformed congregation, or of a church in communion with the CRCNA, and agreement with the doctrine of the church signified by signing a covenant statement.
  2. Has experience navigating church governance and is willing to learn about the life and polity of the CRCNA.
  3. Possesses the ability to provide exceptional leadership within a multiagency and bi-national organization.
  4. Strong capacity and experience in intercultural leadership, including bringing a diverse team together to develop, implement, and achieve shared strategies, priorities, and plans.
  5. Working with and/or serving on a board of directors, preferably in a leadership role.
  6. Demonstrated ability to effectively work with others to achieve shared goals.
  7. Developing and implementing organizational strategy and ministry plans.
  8. Overseeing complex operations in public, nonprofit, and/or private companies, including making financial decisions.
  9. Leading significant organizational change in complex organizations.
  10. Bringing people of diverse backgrounds and experiences together to achieve shared strategies, priorities, plans, and/or goals.
  11. Developing people through coaching, mentoring, and learning and development programs.
  12. Making complex decisions in an environment of shifting demographics and significant cultural change
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  1. A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as administration, leadership, and organizational development; Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Significant experience in senior-level leadership or management.
  3. Experience working with or serving on a Board of Directors, preferably in a leadership role.

Hiring Process Timeline:
This posting will remain open until July 21, 2025. Two interview rounds will take place in August 2025, and a final interview with the Council of Delegates (COD) will occur in the first full week of October 2025.
