Slippery Rock Area Parks and Recreation is seeking a Director of Parks and Recreation to oversee park operations, programs, events, facility rentals, childcare services, personnel and finances. Slippery Rock Area Parks and Recreation is hiring a Director of Parks and Recreation. This is a full time, salaried, year round position with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that operates Slippery Rock Community Park and a year round recreation program under an agreement among Slippery Rock Borough, Slippery Rock Township, and the Slippery Rock Area School District.

The Director administers park operations, recreation programs, special events, facility rentals, childcare services, personnel, and finances under the direction of the Board of Directors.

The work includes administering the Playsafe before and after school program and summer Adventure Camps in coordination with program managers and coordinators, coordinating Independence Day, Oktoberfest, seasonal festivals, and other events that advance the park, coordinating with the grounds and maintenance crew to display and retire the Grand Old Flag, and regularly attending meetings of Borough Council, the Township Board of Supervisors, and the School Board to brief them on park operations and successes.
