Job summary

Children’s Crisis Treatment Center in Montgomery County, PA, seeks a Director of Outpatient Program to lead a newly established community-based acute partial program. The role integrates clinical leadership with operational oversight to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Doctoral or Master’s degree in psychology/social work or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct administrative supervision to Outpatient Clinicians and support staff.
• Plan and coordinate all psychological services within outpatient department, including evaluations, intake assessments, and individual & family treatment.
• Manage daily operations of the program including policies, productivity expectations, and billing processes.
• Maintain wait-list for Montgomery County Services and referrals; assign new cases to clinicians/BCM.
• Conduct internal program auditing and quality management; liaison with local/state providers and insurers.
• Organize staff training, in-services, and state-mandated trainings; supervise staff development meetings.
• Lead proposals for new programs/services; develop and implement programs in consultation with leadership.
• Participate in Operations Committee; ensure trainings and fidelity to clinical models; report learnings weekly.
• Implement Sanctuary Model to create a trauma-informed environment for children and families.

Director of Outpatient Program – Montgomery County

At Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC), our staff is dedicated to addressing the impact of childhood traumatic events and other challenges. The Program Director will lead the implementation and overall clinical and operational integrity of a newly established community-based acute partial program. In close collaboration with CCTC leadership, this individual manages and supports the implementation of the clinical and operational structure of the program including treatment planning and delivery; program evaluation; supervision; evaluation and training of staff; financial performance of program; and compliance with licensing, funding and other regulatory agencies. This individual will oversee the quality of services offered in the program to ensure that the services are consistent with CCTC’s mission, vision and core values and practices including but not limited to continuous quality improvement in the implementation of trauma-informed care, and best practices in child-centered and family-focused mental health.

Summary of Essential Functions:

• Provide direct administrative supervision to Outpatient Clinicians and support staff
• Plan and coordinate all psychological services within outpatient department, including evaluations, intake assessments, and individual & family treatment
• Manage daily operations of the program including facilitating program policies and procedures, maintaining program productivity expectations, and ensuring timely completion of authorization and billing process
• Responsible for maintaining the wait-list for Montgomery County Services, as well as monitoring referrals for all Programs and assigning new cases to Clinicians/BCM in all Departments
• Responsible for internal program auditing and quality management. Serve as the chief liaison with;
  * (a). local and state mental health providers as well as with
  * (b). Insurance companies
• Organize and supervise staff utilization of in-services, community training and state mandated training
• Lead staff development meetings and monitor staff productivity
• Participate in proposal writing for new programs/services within the program
• Develop and implement new programs in consult with Division Director and Management Team
• Act as member of Operations Committee
• Participate in internal as well as external trainings ensuring completion of CCTC’s mandatory trainings, as well as trainings required for continued licensure, if appropriate
• Participate in trainings/meetings and maintain fidelity to clinical practice models. Attends in-service and training/meetings as assigned by CCTC and in accordance with state and CBH/Magellan regulations, when applicable reports back information from trainings in weekly meetings in order to educate other Outpatient staff
• Immediately employs Sanctuary Model with children, family and staff and supports its use in the Outpatient Program in order to effectively create and advance a trauma-informed environment

Doctoral or Master’s Degree in psychology/social work or equivalent field of study.

Pennsylvania license

Minimum of two years’ experience in clinical supervision.

Minimum of two years of management experience in behavioral health field including managing program operations and budget.

The individual will have a working knowledge of best practices in children’s mental health.

Experience in implementing models of care within programs, human resource management and effective supervisory/program management techniquesas well as fiscal and budgetary management.

Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures including those CCTC serves, staff, other provider agencies, payers and regulatory agencies.

This individual will have strong organizational and leadership skills that serve to support CCTC’s mission and vision.
