Responsibilities

• Lead strategic transactions, guiding Fortune 500 clients through tax credit purchases.
• Source, qualify, and prioritize origination opportunities in clean energy.
• Negotiate complex, multi-hundred-million-dollar tax credit transactions to keep deals on track.
• Build the partnership playbook and manage relationships with tax credit investors and developers.
• Represent the company at industry events and client visits, feeding market feedback into strategy.

About the Role

As the company scales rapidly to meet demand, it is looking for an execution-driven Director, Origination to lead high-impact transactions and uncover new growth opportunities through partnerships.

This is a high-upside opportunity for a deal-maker at heart who thrives in high-stakes negotiations, working alongside leadership on the company's most important transactions and partnerships. This role requires sharp analytical instincts with a bias for action: someone who takes ownership, moves fast, and delivers on large, complex projects.

What You'll Do

Lead strategic transactions

• Serve as a trusted advisor to tax and finance leaders at Fortune 500 companies, guiding them through their first or largest tax credit purchases
• Source, qualify, and prioritize origination opportunities across clean energy developers and manufacturers
• Own the negotiation of complex, multi-hundred-million-dollar tax credit transactions, keeping deals on track and resolving issues proactively

Build partnerships and pipeline

• Build the partnership playbook, defining who to engage, how, and when
• Manage and grow a book of relationships with tax credit investors, project developers, and industry partners
• Represent the company at industry events and client visits
• Translate market feedback into recommendations that sharpen the company's origination strategy and offerings

What You'll Need

• 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced, deal-focused environment such as financial services or a fast-growing startup
• Track record of owning outcomes, spotting issues early, and driving solutions in customer-facing environments
• Experience leading complex negotiations or transactions from first conversation to close
• Very high attention to detail paired with sharp written and verbal communication
