Job summary

SSI Industries, a Collegeville, PA-based manufacturer of premium stairs, seeks a Director of Operations and Engineering to lead all day-to-day engineering and manufacturing activities. You will own product design and execution, safety, quality, efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost, building a strong team to sustain busy seasons.

You will partner with the Leadership Team to implement strategic efforts and cross-functional initiatives, while driving continuous improvement and strong business

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in operations leadership across multiple departments.
• Minimum 8+ years manufacturing experience including plant-level leadership.
• Experience in metal fabrication, welding, or building products manufacturing.
• Strong track record in improving safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Hands-on Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to lead supervisors and hourly teams with data and budgets.
• Onsite presence in Collegeville, PA.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for engineering and manufacturing to ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery and cost control.
• Develop and implement the Operations Annual Operating Plan and budget.
• Drive continuous improvement and waste/cost reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with Leadership Team on strategic company initiatives and new product development.
• Mentor and develop supervisors and shop floor staff across departments.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, safety training, and incident investigations.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, Engineering and Marketing.
