Job description

Position Summary

The Director of Operations is responsible for assisting the Head of Operations in the day-to-day operations of the school. Responsibilities include vendor selection and management, assisting with purchasing and accounting, and facilitating technology management. The role serves as a point of contact for school operations.

Essential Functions
  1. Assist the Head of Operations with creating and executing strategic plans for non-academic programs.
  2. Manage extracurricular programs, staffing, and facility needs.
  3. Improve operational systems, processes, and policies; maintain documentation.
  4. Monitor and ensure compliance with BASIS operational mandates through training and documentation.
  5. Coordinate operational needs and processes.
  6. Support payroll coordination with the finance team.
  7. Oversee physical operations, including security and IT.
  8. Manage hardware and software inventory.
  9. Research, evaluate, purchase, and manage school services such as building maintenance and groundskeeping.
  10. Manage procurement of supplies, including textbooks and operational supplies.
  11. Arrange bids and develop specifications for outside contractual work.
  12. Ensure safety protocols, including scheduling and managing drills.
  13. Maintain accurate records of all school assets.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
