Position Summary
The Director of Operations is responsible for assisting the Head of Operations in the day-to-day operations of the school. Responsibilities include vendor selection and management, assisting with purchasing and accounting, and facilitating technology management. The role serves as a point of contact for school operations.
Essential Functions
- Assist the Head of Operations with creating and executing strategic plans for non-academic programs.
- Manage extracurricular programs, staffing, and facility needs.
- Improve operational systems, processes, and policies; maintain documentation.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with BASIS operational mandates through training and documentation.
- Coordinate operational needs and processes.
- Support payroll coordination with the finance team.
- Oversee physical operations, including security and IT.
- Manage hardware and software inventory.
- Research, evaluate, purchase, and manage school services such as building maintenance and groundskeeping.
- Manage procurement of supplies, including textbooks and operational supplies.
- Arrange bids and develop specifications for outside contractual work.
- Ensure safety protocols, including scheduling and managing drills.
- Maintain accurate records of all school assets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card or applicable background check.
- Experience in finance, facilities management, and human resources preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
