RCG Tax Partners is seeking a Director of Tax Operations to lead day-to-day operations, build a high-performing team, and drive growth. This role blends tax expertise with strong leadership, focusing on specialized consulting and process improvements rather than routine returns.
The Director will partner with the founder, shape operational strategy, and manage client engagements in a tax advisory environment based in Stow, Ohio. CPA required with 7+ years of experience.
Are you an experienced tax professional who enjoys helping clients solve problems rather than focusing on compliance and tax returns? Have you ever wanted the opportunity to lead a successful tax consulting firm without taking on the financial risks of ownership?
If you're ready to put your tax expertise and leadership skills to work in a role where you can make a meaningful impact, this is the opportunity you've been looking for.
RCG Tax Partners is looking for a Director of Tax Operations to lead day-to-day operations, develop a high-performing team, and help drive the continued success and growth of our firm.
This is not a traditional tax compliance position. In this Tax Consulting role you'll have the opportunity to combine your technical tax expertise with business leadership, focusing on specialized tax consulting, operational improvements, and client relationships rather than the routine preparation and review of tax returns.
You'll work closely with the firm's founder, with meaningful responsibility for how the business operates and the opportunity to help shape its future.
Founded in 2004, RCG Tax Partners is an established and successful specialty tax advisory firm headquartered in Stow, Ohio. We help businesses identify and claim valuable tax incentives, specializing in Research & Development (R&D) Tax Credits, Cost Segregation Studies, and 179D Energy-Efficiency tax deductions.
With more than 27,000 studies completed and over $950 million in combined federal and state tax savings delivered to clients, we've built a strong reputation for technical expertise, personalized service, and results.
Our clients represent a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, engineering, construction, and more. We're proud of what we've accomplished, and we're looking for an experienced leader who can help us build on that success.
As Director of Tax Operations, you'll oversee the firm's daily operations, lead and develop the team, and strengthen the systems and processes that support our success. You'll also apply your tax expertise to client engagements, making this a unique combination of business leadership and specialized tax consulting.
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with business acumen, leadership ability, and a genuine interest in helping people succeed.
You'll likely thrive in this role if you:
Lead a successful firm without the risks of ownership. Enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of running a business, influencing decisions, and driving results without the financial investment required to become a firm owner.
Move beyond traditional tax compliance. Put your CPA credentials and tax expertise to work in a specialized consulting environment focused on helping businesses uncover valuable tax opportunities.
Make a meaningful impact. This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain the status quo. You'll have the autonomy and responsibility to improve operations, develop people, and help drive continued success.
Work directly with company leadership. Collaborate closely with the firm's founder and play an important role in shaping operational strategy and business decisions.
Join an established, respected firm. Become part of a company with more than 20 years of success, a strong client base, and a proven track record of delivering results.
Build and lead a great team. Help create an environment where talented professionals can grow, collaborate, and do their best work.
If you're an experienced CPA who's ready to move beyond traditional tax compliance and into a broader business leadership role, we'd love to hear from you.
