Job summary

QLM Search seeks a Plant Leader to drive world-class operations for a growing food ingredients unit, reporting to the CEO and serving on the senior leadership team at HQ with travel to an Illinois facility required.

You will lead operations, engineering and operational excellence, develop site procedures, and push standardization through technology and innovative methods to improve performance across the unit.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a small to mid-size food/beverage manufacturing facility.

QLM Search is recruiting a Plant Leader for a specialist B2B Food Ingredients group - reporting to the CEO this role forms part of the senior leadership team at HQ (not a plant) and responsible for driving best in class operational performance across the business unit based in a facility in Illinois (travel needed).

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide leadership and planning for the Plant improving operations, engineering, operational excellence
• Lead and guide the operational remit of the business unit strategic/operational plans
• Manage and develop all site operations procedures
• Driving the simplification of processes through standardization, technology and innovation, and the implementation of methodologies for the unit

Candidates must have come from a Food, Beverage manufacturing / operations where you have managed all areas of a small but growing facility. This business is smaller, but growing fast, therefore being able to travel to the main facility is vital, while partnering with the CEO on all production and operational strategy. You will have implemented enhanced standard operating procedures processes and methodologies and must have the ability to lead and motivate a team, combined with a strategic approach to implementing change to drive operating performance.
