Gyga Force, Inc. seeks a Director of Operations in the San Francisco Bay Area to lead production qualification, shipment, and sustaining support for advanced semiconductor memory products.

You will oversee product engineering, test engineering, and supply chain activities, mentoring the team, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance, and coordinating with offshore partners to drive on-time delivery and continuous yield improvement.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 10+ years in semiconductor operations, incl. ≥6 years in senior Product Engineering.
• Experience with IC qualification methodologies and ISO 9001.
• Hands-on with automatic probers and ATE platforms.
• Strong data analysis skills and proven leadership ability.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

• Lead Product Engineering team responsible for product qualification, yield monitoring, and continuous yield improvement; inherit 4-person team and hire others.
• Ensure ISO 9001 quality systems, processes, and procedures compliance.

Our client is an innovative semiconductor company developing advanced memory technologies for demanding embedded, industrial, aerospace, defense, and other high-reliability applications.

They are seeking a Director of Operations to oversee the production, qualification, shipment, and ongoing support of advanced semiconductor memory products. This position combines product engineering, test engineering, and supply chain management expertise to drive successful product qualification, production execution, and sustaining activities while applying sound engineering and operational practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the Product Engineering team responsible for product qualification, specification compliance, yield monitoring, and continuous yield improvement. You will initially inherit a current team of four and hire additional staff who will report to you.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality systems, processes, and procedures.
• Oversee execution of quarterly production builds, shipment schedules, and inventory planning.
• Manage offshore packaging partners responsible for package development, production packaging, and package reliability.
• Coordinate with offshore test vendors to ensure on-time delivery, analyze production yields, and drive continuous yield improvement.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. degree (M.S. preferred) in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of semiconductor operations experience, including at least 6 years in a senior Product Engineering role.
• Experience with IC qualification methodologies and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Hands-on experience with automatic probers and semiconductor ATE platforms.
• Proficiency with engineering data analysis tools and software packages.
• Proven ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing Product Engineering teams.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
