Medline is seeking a hands‑on Director of Operations to lead our Perryville Distribution Center. This highly visible role offers the opportunity to strengthen operational performance, drive safety and quality improvements, and develop a growing leadership team. The ideal candidate is a proactive, adaptable leader who takes initiative, builds accountability and works closely with teams on the warehouse floor. This role requires flexibility to support multiple shifts and work additional hours as business needs demand.
Lead daily distribution center operations, ensuring timely, accurate order fulfillment and efficient workflows. Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, service and productivity. Coach and develop supervisors and managers, establishing clear expectations and consistent operating practices. Oversee staffing, hiring, performance management, compensation administration, training and employee development. Manage inventory accuracy, receiving and material movement. Manage capital resources to maximize utilization and return on investment. Address customer concerns and service issues, visit key accounts and support contract negotiations for new business. Maintain safe work practices and housekeeping standards. Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and the private truck fleet.
Bachelor’s degree. At least 10 years of experience in a distribution center environment. At least 5 years of management experience, including hiring supervisors, support personnel and warehouse associates. Strong leadership, problem‑solving and team development skills. A hands‑on approach and ability to independently identify priorities and drive improvements. Willingness to travel up to 20%. Ability to work early and late shifts, plus weekends at least once per month, with additional schedule flexibility as needed. Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand or walk for prolonged periods, and work in temperatures ranging from 32°F to 95°F.

The anticipated salary range for this position: $154,000.00 - $231,000.00 Annual. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
