Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, ideally within distribution or construction materials.
  • Multi-site leadership experience required.
  • Strong skills in process improvement, analytics, change management, leadership development, and operational strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operations across multiple locations, ensuring consistent execution, customer service, inventory control, safety, and operational performance.
  • Implement and reinforce standardized processes, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce operational variability.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and drive sustainable solutions that support growth and profitability.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure effective communication and execution across locations.
  • Oversee inventory management, operational planning, and site-level performance to support customer demand and business objectives.
  • Conduct regular site visits, operational audits, and safety reviews to ensure compliance and adherence to company standards.
  • Develop, coach, and hold accountable location leaders and operational teams while building a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and employee engagement.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to leadership and contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.

The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing operational performance across a multi-site organization. This individual will oversee customer-facing operations, distribution activities, and service support functions to ensure consistent execution, operational excellence, and a high-quality customer experience across all locations. Reporting to a senior executive leader, this role partners across business functions to drive efficiency, improve performance, and support scalable growth.
