Job summary

SBM Offshore in Atlanta/NYC/Detroit is looking for a Director of Operations to direct and implement policy ensuring contractual obligations are met and profitability achieved for key accounts.

You will manage costs and revenue, lead regional operations through subordinate managers, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with FLSA, OSHA, ADA, and other regulations. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field from a four-year college or university with 5-10 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Expand business within Strategic Accounts and negotiate with customers.
• Direct operations through managers to meet contractual and profitability goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment with safety and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (FLSA, OSHA, ADA).
• Monitor budget compliance for identified accounts.
• Lead and develop staff with clear goals and accountability.
• Provide managerial authority over Regional Operations Directors.
• Participate in development and implementation of company goals and strategy.
• Travel is required for this position.

This role will be based out of Atlanta, GA; New York, NY; or Detroit, MI.

Job Overview

The Operations Director will be responsible for directing and implementing company policy to ensure compliance with contract responsibilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage costs and revenue to meet company top and bottom-line financial goals including:

• Expanding business within Strategic Accounts / Clients, negotiating increases with Customers, reduction of operating costs, and or changes in schedules or processes

• Directing operations necessary, both directly and through subordinate managers, to carry out contractual responsibilities and profitability that meet both the Customer’s contractual expectations but to exceed their service expectations resulting in the creation of complete Customer satisfaction.

• Maintain a safe work environment for self and employees by implementing comprehensive safety, recognition, and training programs

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, such as FLSA, OSHA, ADA, etc.

• Budget compliance for identified Accounts

• Manage and retain a qualified (individually or through subordinate) staff that is reasonably satisfied with position and compensation, understands, and is trained for their position and has a clear line of sight to the goals and expectations of the company and recognized the impact their contributions to the Company

• Provide managerial authority over Regional Operations Director(s)

• Participate in the development and implementation of company goals and strategic vision

• Travel is required for this position
