This role will define strategy, align on best practice and process improvement through continuously improving the performance and profitability of Radial Power’s portfolio.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee portfolio performance, and delinquency management for both loan and lease portfolios.
  • Improve and maintain portfolio performance using data-driven decision making.
  • Lead the identification and implementation of commercial and operational strategies.
  • Assist with onboarding new assets to the portfolio and ensure that other internal stakeholders receive necessary information and deliverables.
  • Partner with legal, compliance, and risk to ensure timely response to customer inquiries.
  • Own the financial performance of portfolio assets – analyzing budget variances & business plans, leading asset optimization initiatives, and rectifying performance issues;
  • Develop operating budgets, maintenance and capital plans, near-term cash forecasts and review capital investments;
  • Oversee management, renewal, extension and related waivers and consents of key operating agreements such as power purchase agreements (or other types of revenue contracts), O&M agreements, insurance coverages, collective agreements, etc.;
  • Ensure all contractual obligations and covenants (financing, construction, operations and regulatory), are properly met and fulfilled;
  • Establish spare part inventory plan and best practices;
  • Track construction, maintenance and replacement schedules and related costs for assets;
  • Prepare risk assessments and monitor ESG metrics for assets;
  • Implement software solutions, establish KPIs to track asset activities and search for opportunities to improve asset performance;
  • Develop and maintain business relationships, and be the main point of contact, with operating partners, customers, service providers, regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders such as lenders’ advisors, credit agencies, landowners, insurance brokers, union representatives and legal advisors;
  • Oversee and manage our partners, conduct site visits and lead review meetings;
  • Prepare presentations for and participate in meetings with lenders and co-investors;
  • Validate the execution and quality of construction deliverables with the independent engineer and lenders' advisor;
  • Assist the investment team in the due diligence of potential investments, analyze the benefits and risks of key investments, review documentation and work collaboratively with external consultants as required;
  • Manage the daily operations of portfolio assets, understanding the key drivers and expenses;
  • Evaluate projects quality, and progress, and engage with employees to promote morale while enforcing the company's vision and goals;
  • Drive a performance-based culture through the definition of, measurement of, and accountability to key performance indicators.
  • Administer safety and compliance for the projects and team members

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in operations management, business, engineering, or similar field.

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of management experience.
  • Ability to lead, monitor and partner with 3rd party agencies who manage portions with Radial Power’s portfolios.
  • Experience with servicing, collections, loss mitigation, customer complaints and escalation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience in renewable energy preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.

Other Skills

  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies including solar, EV charging and battery storage.

Physical Requirements

The Director of O&M/Asset Management position is not required to endure the following physical activities other than normal office activity.
