Job description

Healthier Tomorrows, a nutrition practice focusing on outpatient care for clients of all ages, is looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Director of Nutrition Care to join our team.

We are seeking candidates for our Director of Nutrition Care role!Registered dietitians who have a strong background in nutrition counseling as well as personnel management experience, are passionate about providing one-on-one nutrition care, and would like to both provide direct client care, and lead and mentor dietitians on our team are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will take pride in delivering the highest quality of care to our clients, will enjoy collaborating and guiding our team of dietitians, will be able to receive constructive feedback, and will be dedicated to continuously improving as a healthcare professional and leader.

Candidates may work from one of our four Chicagoland offices, or work remotely from another location.

Main responsibilities of the Director of Nutrition Care:

Training responsibilities including: monitoring training programs to ensure compliance and completion within given time frames; conducting in-service trainings as needed; ensuring that training materials are current and appropriately aligned with the nutrition philosophy of Healthier Tomorrows; assisting in hiring and training new RDs as needed.

Supervision responsibilities including:leading professional supervision and case consultation for Lead RDs and Team RDs; coaching RDs to ensure fullest potential and suggesting ways to improve skills or build relations with peers, colleagues, clients, families, and external providers.

Personnel Management responsibilities including:managing annual performance evaluation process for all Lead RDs and Team RDs under their direction, ensuring reviews are completed per company guidelines and time frames.

Program Management responsibilities including:overseeing and supporting in-person locations as necessary; leading thought-provoking and impactful clinical supervision skills training with Lead RDs; participating in outreach-related events as requested.

This position will also providedirect nutrition care.

Position Requirements

· Three to five years of professional work experience as a registered dietitian working with a multi-disciplinary team.

· Supervisor/management experience.

· Expertise in working from a non-diet, trauma-informed treatment lens.

· Experience working with eating disorders; experience working in higher level of care eating disorder treatment setting(s) preferred

· Versatile nutrition knowledge.
