Director of Nursing - Willowcrest - Skilled Nursing & Rehab Services - Full Time Days - Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia
Willowcrest offers a complete range of skilled nursing and rehabilitative services for patients who are staying long-term or recovering from an illness, injury or major surgery. We serve as a bridge between the hospital and home. Our goal is to help our patients regain independence and return home with confidence.
The Director of Nursing leads, supports, and empowers a diverse team of nursing professionals and auxiliary staff to consistently deliver high-quality, compassionate, and compliant care to a wide range of patients—from adolescents to the frail elderly.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct all nursing service activities to ensure the highest standards of care for residents.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in partnership with patients and their designated care partners.
- Evaluate and improve nursing care practices to ensure optimal quality and efficient utilization of resources.
- Oversee compliance with federal, state, and facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide leadership and professional development to nursing staff through structured in-service education and training.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that prioritizes the dignity, rights, and well-being of all residents.
- Participate in strategic planning and quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with other members of the leadership team.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 5 years of full-time or equivalent clinical nursing experience.
- At least 2 years of nursing supervision experience in a Short Term Care setting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Certification in Gerontological Nursing or Nursing Administration.
- Experience in leading clinical teams through regulatory surveys and audits.
