Job summary

MissionHires is seeking a results-driven Director of Nursing to lead Surgical Services in a high-volume perioperative environment. This role oversees Operating Room functions, including GI suites, PACU, Pre-op, and a Pre-admission Testing Clinic.

The successful candidate will mentor approximately 100 clinical and support staff and collaborate with top surgical professionals, including experts in robotic procedures, to drive clinical excellence and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; BSN required or actively enrolled in BSN program.
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including 2–3 years in leadership within surgical services.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.
• Clinical specialty or nurse administration certification preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational leadership skills.
• Direct oversight in an OR setting with 600+ cases monthly.
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgery and managing advanced surgical technology programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations, strategy, and performance of surgical services departments.
• Develop and mentor leaders and staff to enhance clinical excellence.
• Monitor and improve patient care, satisfaction, and employee engagement.
• Foster collaboration between teams and with medical staff.
• Manage department financials and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
