Your Job

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with physicians’ orders and the residents' needs. The Director of Nursing will inherit a 5-star facility with a deficiency-free survey. The RN will oversee the 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and direct the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care according to Federal, State, and company standards, guidelines, and regulations. In the absence of the Administrator, the Director of Nursing will assume responsibility for the center's operations. This position involves conducting the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—under the scope of the State’s Nurse Practice Act and Registered Nurse licensure.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Coordinate plans for the total care of each resident, complying with physician’s orders, regulations, and policies.
  • Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitor staff practices and implementation.
  • Participate in all admissions decisions and visit prospective residents before admissions.
  • Participate in daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel, or concerns.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Currently licensed as RN in the practicing state.
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school required.
  • Five years in long-term or acute healthcare preferred; at least 2 years of nursing supervisory experience required.
