Job summary

North Dade Nursing & Rehabilitation Center seeks a Director of Nursing to lead nursing services in a Skilled Nursing facility in Florida. You will plan, organize, and direct the overall operation of nursing services to foster high-quality care in compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities include coordinating total planning, scheduling 24-hour rounds, ensuring licenses are current, inspecting medical records, and supporting quarterly assurance meetings and policy reviews.

Qualifications

• Current nursing license to practice nursing in Florida.
• Minimum of three years of managerial experience in a long-term care facility.
• Minimum of two years experience in nursing administration, preferably in a long-term care setting.
• Geriatric nursing background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct total planning for nursing services.
• Develop and maintain a schedule of daily rounds and assignments of duties for all nursing staff to assure 24 hours coverage sufficient to meet federal and state regulatory requirements and facility standards of care.
• Establishes procedures to ensure that nursing personnel have valid and current licenses as required by Federal and State regulations.
• Routinely inspects medical records for accuracy.
• Attends and prepares necessary information for the Quarterly Assurance Meetings and annual policy review.
