Job summary

State of Nevada in Lovelock, NV seeks a Director of Nursing Services at Lovelock Correctional Center. This role leads 24/7 nursing operations, ensures compliant, high-quality care, and manages budgets and staffing within policy frameworks.

You will collaborate with the Medical Director and Nursing Chief, develop nursing policies, supervise staff, review evaluations, and monitor overtime to balance care quality with fiscal stewardship.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Four years of professional nursing experience in correctional/medical settings.
• Two years as a nursing supervisor with staffing and policy responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staff and monitor overtime to maximize efficiency and care quality.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures; provide leadership to staff.
• Develop and maintain budgets, records, plans, and statistics related to nursing services.
• Coordinate nursing care with Medical Director and Nursing Chief; supervise staff.
• Review evaluations, disciplinary actions and terminations; ensure policy compliance.
