Job summary

State-of-Nevad is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates at Lovelock Correctional Center. Under supervision, the LPN will dispense medications, process orders, monitor patient responses, and assist medical staff in clinics and on the man-down team.

Ideal candidates hold a NV LPN license with at least two years of experience, including inmate care or mental health settings.

Qualifications

• Active Nevada LPN license.
• Two years LPN experience, at least one with inmates or mental health patients.
• Ability to perform nursing procedures and administer meds.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to inmates in a correctional setting.
• Distribute medications and refill/process orders.
• Assist medical providers during inmate appointments and on the man down team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side effects.
• Document nurse progress notes and maintain medical charts.
• Provide CPR and first aid to stabilize patients as needed.
• Prepare and maintain treatment rooms and stock supplies.
• Offer health education to patients and families.
