Job summary

Bedford Care Centers seeks an experienced Nursing Supervisor to plan, organize and supervise all aspects of Nursing Services at a long-term care facility in Mississippi. You will ensure compliance with policies and regulations while fostering cooperation among staff, residents, and families.

The role requires an RN license in Mississippi, relevant certifications within the first year, and prior supervision experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• RN license in Mississippi is required.
• TB Certification, DNS Certification, QAPI Certification and MDS Certification must be obtained within the first year.
• Prefer two years or more experience in Long-Term Care Nursing Supervision.
• Good oral and written communications skills and basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Develops Nursing Department objectives; maintains standards of Nursing practice and Nursing Manuals.
• Recommends to Administrator numbers and levels of Nursing Personnel; assists with recruitment, interviews, selection, hiring, evaluations, disciplinary action and discharges.
• Ensures Residents’ needs are met by completing Nursing staff schedules and assigning sufficient Nurses and Nurse Aides for each shift.
