Title: Director of Nursing (DON)

Location: 331 Alcove Road Suite 200, Mooresville, North Carolina, United States- 28117

Days: Monday - Friday

Shift Timining: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid meal break)

Expected hours per week: 36 hours to 40 hours

Weekend Requirements: Occasional weekend responses as needed, typically scheduled during weekdays

Position Summary

We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Director of Nursing / Outreach to oversee client care, supervise nursing aides, and lead community engagement at a well-established facility in Mooresville, NC. This leadership role involves performing nursing assessments, developing and updating care plans, and acting as a key liaison between staff, clients, and families. Ideal for a self-starter who thrives on variety, mentoring others, and delivering high-quality care in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete documentation for nursing assessments, evaluations, and care planning.
• Regularly evaluate client conditions to ensure alignment with care plans.
• Use professional nursing judgment to identify and address client needs.
• Coordinate and revise operational procedures in partnership with management.
• Mentor staff and uphold professional nursing standards.
• Act as a patient advocate and maintain client rights.
• Monitor home safety issues and promote safe practices across teams.
• Respond to and resolve caregiver-related complaints with scheduling support.
• Provide coaching on safety protocols and staff development.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least 2 professional references.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective team leadership and multitasking abilities.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.

Schedule & Work Hours

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid meal break).
