Higher Call Nursing Center is seeking an energetic Director of Nursing in Quapaw, OK, with a go-getter attitude.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide personal care to residents ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
  • Oversee 24/7 nursing services.
  • Maintain job descriptions for nursing staff.
  • Address cultural practices respecting regulations.
  • Adjust staffing plans for optimal resident care.
  • Document and report incidents per policies.
  • Participate in committees like Infection Control and Quality Assurance.
  • Make rounds daily on all nursing units.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments for resident needs.
  • Ensure assessments and reassessments are performed and documented.
  • Manage pain assessments and educate residents and families.
  • Maintain a safe environment and ensure equipment functionality.
  • Lead and role model as a team leader.
  • Follow infection control policies and report changes in resident conditions.
  • Implement care plans based on assessments.
  • Attend meetings and coordinate budgeting with the Administrator.
  • Control costs and supervise infection prevention measures.
  • React decisively in emergencies and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Current RN license in Oklahoma.
  • Current BLS CPR certification.
  • Preferably 5 years of nursing management experience.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to react quickly in emergencies and maintain confidentiality.
