Job summary

A leading senior care community in South Seattle is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON / DNS) to oversee the Skilled Nursing department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a hospitality mindset, and a commitment to providing exceptional care. This role requires an RN license in Washington and a minimum of 3 years of experience in geriatrics, preferably in a director capacity.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WA with a current license.
• At least 3 years of experience working in geriatrics as a DON or ADON.
• Previous Director of Nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred.

The Director of Nursing needs to possess the leadership ability to manage the Skilled Nursing department, while ensuring that the best possible care and services are provided for the residents. Key responsibilities include leading, mentoring, and providing oversight for the care team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal regulations. Must have a demonstrated history of excellent survey results, good tenure, a hospitality mindset, as well as a customer service focused approach to care. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WA with a current license, and have at least 3 years of experience working in geriatrics as a DON or ADON. Previous Director of Nursing experience in a SNF is strongly preferred.
