Job summary

Signature HealthCARE's Westmoreland Care & Rehabilitation Center in Westmoreland, TN seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Department, ensure policy and regulatory compliance, and uphold exceptional resident care.

You will partner with physicians, the Medical Director, and inter-disciplinary teams to develop care plans, monitor assessments, and drive performance. Strong leadership, detail orientation, TN RN license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with the state of Tennessee.
• Minimum of five (5) years in long-term or acute care settings.
• Minimum of two (2) years in management or supervisory roles.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with policies and regulations to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct nursing services and related programs.
• Coordinate Interdisciplinary Care Plans with physicians, Medical Director, nursing staff, and consultants.

Overview

The ideal Director of Nursing Candidate is very detailed orientated, organized, great knowledge of policies and governmental regulations. A passion for supporting and training Stakeholders to provide the best care possible to residents.

How you Will make a difference

• Manage the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with Company policies, standards of nursing practices and governmental regulations so as to maintain excellent care of all residents’ needs.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the nursing services department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Assist with development of and approve final version of the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care for each resident in coordination with the physician, Medical Director, nursing staff, and outside consultants (i.e., nursing, dietary, pharmacy, therapists, etc.) and in accordance with corporate, state and federal guidelines.
• Confirm accurate completion of forms/reports for the admission, transfer and/or discharge of each resident including, but not limited to, the nursing portion of the PAE, Initial Nursing Assessment, Minimum Data Set (MDS), Resident Care Plan, and the Annual MDS.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Registered Nurse in good standing with required current state license.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in long-term care and/or acute care setting required.
• Minimum of two (2) years management/supervisory experience required.
• Must have a current/active CPR certification.
