Job summary

Signature HealthCARE is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Department in a 124-bed long-term care setting. You will ensure regulatory compliance, care quality, and coordination with physicians, therapists, and other stakeholders.

The role requires strong detail orientation, organizational skills, and expertise in policies and governmental regulations with a passion for training stakeholders to deliver exceptional resident care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed in good standing.
• Minimum five years experience in long-term care or acute care.
• Minimum two years management/supervisory experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the nursing services and programs.
• Assist with Interdisciplinary Plan of Care development in coordination with physicians and staff.
• Ensure accurate completion of admission, transfer and discharge forms and reports.

Overview

The ideal Director of Nursing Candidate is very detailed orientated, organized, great knowledge of policies and governmental regulations. A passion for supporting and training Stakeholders to provide the best care possible to residents.

How you Will make a difference

• Manage the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with Company policies, standards of nursing practices and governmental regulations so as to maintain excellent care of all residents’ needs.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the nursing services department, as well as its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Assist with development of and approve final version of the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care for each resident in coordination with the physician, Medical Director, nursing staff, and outside consultants (i.e., nursing, dietary, pharmacy, therapists, etc.) and in accordance with corporate, state and federal guidelines.
• Confirm accurate completion of forms/reports for the admission, transfer and/or discharge of each resident including, but not limited to, the nursing portion of the PAE, Initial Nursing Assessment, Minimum Data Set (MDS), Resident Care Plan, and the Annual MDS.

What you Need to make a Difference

• Registered Nurse in good standing with required current state license.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in long-term care and/or acute care setting required.
• Minimum of two (2) years management/supervisory experience required.
• Must have a current/active CPR certification.
